Worthing is a regular run for us along the coast. The town grew as a seaside resort from the late 1700s. Since then it has spread west and north, so the homes here range from Regency crescents to post-war estates and new builds.
From a single socket to a full rewire, a car charger or a shop fit-out, you get the same quick response and tidy finish. You also get one clear fixed price before anything starts.
We are based in Rustington, a short way west of Worthing along the A259. Worthing is part of our normal working week.
From Regency crescents to post-war Goring
Worthing became a resort in the late 1700s. Park Crescent and Liverpool Terrace went up after the town got its charter in 1803. Homes this old have often been rewired bit by bit over many years. We test first, so we know what each circuit is doing before we touch it.
The council lists 27 conservation areas in Worthing. They include Heene, West Tarring, Broadwater Green, Park Crescent and Marine Parade. Some have extra rules that need consent for changes such as new windows. We plan cable runs that keep the front of the house as it is.
To the west, the Goring Hall estate was laid out as a garden city just before 1939. More estates went up west of the town from 1948. Many of these homes still have an older fuse board. If yours has never had a full test, it is worth booking one.
Renting is growing too. The 2021 Census found that about one in five Worthing homes was privately rented, up from 2011.
What we get called out for in Worthing
Period homes near the seafront
Old houses around Heene and the town centre often have circuits added over the years. We trace each one and make it safe.
Fuse boards in Goring and Durrington
Homes from the 1930s to the 1960s often still have an older board. We test the wiring, then fit and certify a new one.
Rented flats and houses
Landlords need an electrical check at least every five years. We test, explain the results in plain English and fix what fails.
Homes that suit later life
Worthing has a large older population. We fit brighter lights, easier switches and the power supply for a stairlift.

What we do in Worthing
Electrician in Worthing, questions answered
How much does a rewire cost in Worthing?
It depends on the size of the house, how many circuits you want and how easy it is to get under the floors. We look first. Then you get one fixed price in writing. It only changes if you ask for more.
Can you work on a home in a conservation area?
Yes. Most indoor wiring needs no planning consent. If your home is listed, check with Adur & Worthing Councils before any work that changes it. We keep new fittings neat and out of sight where we can.
Is there landlord licensing in Worthing?
Large shared houses need a mandatory HMO licence. The councils have also said they want selective licensing in Heene, Selden and Central wards. Check their website for the latest. We can supply the electrical report a licence asks for.
Do you cover Findon Valley and High Salvington?
Yes. We cover the whole town, from Findon Valley and High Salvington down to the seafront and along to Goring.
